Where do your first and middle names come from?
     Aaron:  Well, I thought my first name came from Mom running so many errands.  Aaron actually comes from Aaron Johnson from Oakley, Idaho.  Bryant is Great-Grandpa Furniss's name.

Morning person or night owl? 
      A: Morning person.

 
What do you do for a living?

      A: I am currently a full-time student and I work at the UPS Store and for McNabb Trucking in Pocatello.

 
What is your favorite thing to do?

       A:  Play sports - any kind. (Play games, all sorts.)

      A: My memory for people and how and why I know them.

      A: Well.  Ham Casserole.

     Claire:  My Mom liked Claire and she says my sister and I are both queens, I'm Alexandra and my sister is Elizabeth.

The Interview with Melissa Jeanne Lee Maxwell

 Where do your first and middle names come from?
     Melissa:  Mom just liked Melissa.  Middle name... I feel like someone had a favorite aunt or favorite teacher - wait, that's Nicole.  I have no idea!  My name means nothing!  That bothers me.

 Morning person or night owl? 
      M: Night owl.

 
What do you do for a living?

      M: Teach piano, I guess.  For a living.  Sometimes I take pictures of people for cookies and babysitting.

       M:  Eat.  I like to take pictures, too.

The Boneys

The Interview with Allyn Elizabeth Lee Boney

     Where do your first and middle names come from?
     Allyn:  I believe my first name came from my Mom's friend Allyn Davis Smith.  I think my middle name Mom just liked, but it also happens to be Allyn Davis Smith's younger sister's name.  Don't know if that is on purpose or if it just sounded good.

 Morning person or night owl? 
      A: Hmmmm.  I used to be a morning person, but now I can't get my butt out of bed before 7:00am because I stay up too late.  So I guess I'm a night owl.

 
What do you do for a living?

      A: Let's see... Obviously I'm a mother, but along with that I get to listen to awesome arguments all day long about why one should not go to baseball practice or do something on the chore chart with their name on it.  I'm also kind of a referee.  And I make disgusting stuff for dinner.

 
What is your favorite thing to do?

       A:  I don't know my favorite thing.  I like to walk outside.

What is the first thing you noticed about Aron?

       A: His eyes for sure.


What is your super power?

      A: I can make a full meal out of what is in my fridge, even if it's just carrots and ketchup.

What is your favorite meal?

      A: Salmon with fresh sauteed green beans and salad and maybe mashed potatoes.

      A: I kind of fluctuate.  Sometimes I really just like ice water and other times I really like peanut M&Ms.  And everything in between.

      A: Cookies.  Big time.

      A:  I squeeze babies really well.  Right, Chance?!

      A:  I need to make better goals.  Adam should be graduated by then, so...  I think about fitting in taking voice lessons a lot.


The Interview with Aron Rhodes Boney

     Where do your first and middle names come from?
     Aron:  My first name my Mom just picked it - it's also how Elvis Presley spelled his middle name.  My great-grandfather, my grandfather, and my father all have the middle name Rhodes.

 Morning person or night owl? 
      A: Uhhh... both.  I can be both.  It all depends on what's going on or what I have to look forward to.

 
What do you do for a living?

      A: I practice medicine.

 
What is your favorite thing to do?

       A:  What do I like to do... I like to vacuum.  I like to do a lot of different things.  I like to take my family on a road trip and show them neat things.

What is the first thing you noticed about Allyn?

       A: Her hair.


What is your super power?

      A: Allyn says it is remember meals from the past.  (I can remember what I ate at a person's house while I was on my mission, etc.)


What is your favorite meal?

      A: That's tough.  Growing up it was chicken and dumplings, but Allyn doesn't make chicken and dumplings, so I can't say that's my favorite meal.  I can eat anything.

 
What is your favorite treat?

      A: Carrot cake.

Who or what is your nemesis?

      A: The rabbit in my yard.  I keep trying to grow a garden and I try to chase him down.

      A:  I'm just a jack-of-all-trades.  I don't have a super-skill.  I just get by.

      A: They all say funny things...  The scientist with no eyes (Dr. Bunsen Honeydew).

      A:  Well, I feel like my successes are through my family.  I'd like to have a job.  A respectable practice or a clientele of patients.  Figure out how to be in the bishopric.  Help my boys get their Eagles.

     Emma: Inno know.
     Lilja: That lady in Finland that Dad... Lilja Laito.  And Lucille after Memaw and Nana and Boney after Dad.
     Adam: My Uncle (Adam Boney, Aron's brother).  Why?  My Dad, my Grandpa, and my Great Grandpa.
     Banks: I don't know.  Who am I named after?
     Noah:  Banks?
     Chance:  My Dad wanted to use the name Chance because he found a great uncle on his grandpa's side named Chancy and he thought it was cool.  My Mom needed some convincing, but now she loves it.  Bracken is my Mom's great-great-great-great grandmother's maiden name.


What is your favorite thing to do?
     Emma: Hmmmm...read and sing and play the piano.
     Lilja: Hang out with friends and family.
     Adam: Play wii and play with my friends.
     Banks: Play on the iPad, watch TV, and play on the computer.
     Noah:  Play on the computer [giggle, giggle].
     Chance:  Play on my slide in the backyard.


What is your favorite thing to eat and how do you make it?
     Emma: Mashed potatoes.  First, I wash the potatoes, then I peel them, then I wash them again.  Then I cut them into quarters.  Then put them in salt water and let them boil.  I don't know how long.  Five minutes or ten.  Then, when they're done I drain them and then first I smash them, then I add evaporated milk.  I smash them again.  I add a whole stick of butter and then I smash that up.  Then I add pepper and salt.  Then smash that up, then I add Worcestershire sauce and then I make Lilja taste it and she tells me what it needs.
     Lilja: Chicken pie... any pie.  You make it with a recipe.
     Adam: Homemade bean soup and cheeseburgers.  I don't know how to make bean soup.  Cheeseburgers - grill the meat, put cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, little tiny bits of onion, mayonnaise, mustard, and pickles.
     Banks: Pizza for dinner and cookies... chocolate chip.  I don't know how to make them.
     Noah:  Pizza, cheese with salad dressing.  Our parents make it.
     Chance:  Flip flops.  You convince someone to take you to the back room and put you on the floor, then find the flip flop that has fallen out of the shoe cubby. 

What is your favorite toy and/or hobby?
     Emma: Piano.
     Lilja: Sing and act and dance (ballet).
     Adam: Reading, drawing, and legos.
     Banks: Play wii.  Play baseball.  That fin mcmissile big toy.
     Noah:  Pegususes.
     Chance:  Anything in the girls' room.


What is your favorite place to visit?
     Emma: Hmmmm... Grandmother's house.
     Lilja: I like Finland.

What does your Mom do when you're not home?
     Emma: Watch the leftover kids and clean and shop and has fun with her friends.  Inno know.
     Lilja: She goes to the thrift store, she hangs out with Chance.  She sews, goes grocery shopping, goes on walks.
     Adam: Feed my brother and go do things.
     Banks: She feeds Chance.  She plays outside with him and she watches TV.
     Noah:  She feeds him (our baby).  Plays with him in the playroom.
     Chance:  I am never not home if Mom is home.


What does your Dad do for a living?
     Emma: He's a doctor.
     Lilja: He's a doctor.
     Adam: He's us, isn't he a pediatrician?  Isn't a pediatrician like a doctor?
     Banks: He works on these kind of things like ships.
     Noah:  He, um, makes sure Banks gets a hit at baseball.
     ChanceHe leaves early in the morning after he takes me out of my bed and puts me into Mommy's bed so I can do my aerobics routine on her while she is still sleeping.  Then he comes home and tackles me.  What happens in between is a mystery.

What is your favorite thing to do with your family?
     Emma: Laugh.  Because screaming is annoying.

     Lilja: Go on vacations.

     Adam: Play board games and watch  movies.

     Banks: Eat dinner.

     Noah:  Eat dinner.

     Chance: Do all my tricks that they tell me to do while they laugh at me.

Coombs Family

The Interview with Katy Jane Lee Coombs

     Where do your first and middle names come from?
     Katy:  I was named after Mom & Dad's friend in North Carolina who had a daughter named Katy.  I don't know their last name.  They claim she taught me how to walk.  Jane after Dad's Aunt Jane.

 Morning person or night owl? 
      K: Sadly, both.  I fall asleep in the middle of the day.  Mostly mornings, I guess.

 
What do you do for a living?

      K: I do laundry.  I am a laundress.

 
What is your favorite thing to do?

       K:  I have a lot of different hobbies tha tI enjoy and that make me happy.  I like to cook, run, teach piano...  The thing that is just for me is running.

What is the first thing you noticed about Matt?

       K: The first thing was his beautiful brown eyes and his smile.  On our first date he opened my door, took my coat for me - he was a perfect gentleman and unlike anyone else I'd ever dated.

What is your super power?

      K: I can remember birthdays.

What is your favorite meal?

      K: My Mom's Thanksgiving dinner - turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, rolls.

The Interview with James Matthew Coombs

     Where do your first and middle names come from?
     Matt:  James is my father's name and my parents liked Matthew.  Actually my Dad wanted me to be called Matthew James, but my Mom decided at the last minute that James Matthew sounded better.

 Morning person or night owl? 
      M: Night owl.

 
What do you do for a living?

      M: I am a sales representative for Masco Cabinetry and I do cabinetry design work as well.

 
What is your favorite thing to do?

       M: I like to do a lot of things.  I guess it depends on the moment.  I like working out, shooting guns, spending time with my wife.

What is the first thing you noticed about Katy?

       M: I saw her across a crowded room and she stood out among the girls she was standing with - she was the total package.

      M: When I come into a room I notice things that are odd, different, or out-of-place.  (Jason Bourne.)

      M: It all depends on my mood.

      M: I like ice cream.

      M: Rain.  It robbed me of my Zombie Apocalypse Halloween and it's robbing me of softball games every week.

     Evie: Mom watched a movie and there was a girl named Evelyn and they called her Evie, I think, and Mom liked the name and she decided to name me that.

     Anya: I was named after the doctor.  (The one who delivered her.)

     Eliza: Having fun.  Anything that's exciting.
     Vivien: Read or jump on the trampoline.
     Evie: I like to play my cello, and to do the piano, and I also like to draw and read in my spare time.
     Helena: I like to go swimming.  I like to do math.
     Anya: My favorite thing to do is play.  Outside.


What is your favorite thing to eat and how do you make it?
     Eliza: Mozzarella sticks.  Deep fry cheese?  I don't know.
     Vivien: Mashed potatoes.  you peel potatoes, then you cut up the potatoes and stick them in a post and boil them until they're sort of mushy and mash them and you addmilk and butter and some people add parsley or something.
     Evie: Daddy's Monster Cookies.  Like a normal cookie only more batter and a bit more chocolate chips, so when you cook it, it looks bigger.
     Helena: Mashed potatoes and gravy.  You get mashed potatoes, you peel them, you cut them up, you boil them in water, then you mush them up, then it's mashed potatoes.  I don't know how to make gravy.
     Anya: Macaroni and cheese.  Just have little noodles, then you put hot water in it, then you put cheese in the package inside it and then you eat it.


What is your favorite toy and/or hobby?
     Eliza: My bow and arrows.
     Vivien: Legos.
     Evie: Play on webkins.com and play with my Webkins (toys).
     Helena: I love drawing.
     Anya: My favorite toy is a play section. (?)


What is your favorite place to visit?
     Eliza: Universal Studios.  That was the best.
     Vivien: Orlando.
     Evie: I like visiting Orlando and Idaho.
     Helena: I like to go to the beach and Old Salem.
     Anya: North Carolina.


What is the grossest thing you can think of?
     Eliza: Have I ever shown you the diagram of the "death machine" that I made up?
     Vivien: Someone throwing up... and me seeing it.
     Evie: Someone falling down a large building and falling on their head and then it cracks so all their brains come out.
     Helena: People naked.
     Anya: Broccoli.  ("Vile weed!")


What does your Mom do when you're not home?
     Eliza: Laundry, sits on the couch and watches TV and eats chocolate pretzels.
     Vivien: Well, I know she works out and does laundry... and then she watches TV.
     Evie: My Mom does the laundry and she cleans up some things and she washed the dishes and when she feels tired she sits down and puts her feet up.
     Helena: She cleans.
     Anya: Sees plays.  ("I went to a play last night," says Katy.)


What does your Dad do for a living?
     Eliza: He works at Masco Cabinetry and he like designs kitchens, like he puts the new cabinets and sees how much your new kitchen will cost, cabinet-wise.
     Vivien: He designs cabinets.
     Evie: Doesn't he make cabinets?  Or does he design them?
     Helena: I dunno.
     Anya: To deliver cabinets.


What is your favorite thing to do with your family?
     Eliza: Swimming.
     Vivien: Go swimming.
     Evie: I like to go on family trips.  I also like to do family activities like ice-skating or something we can all do together.
     Helena: I like to do, like, family game nights and stuff.
     Anya: Play that game I made up when Olivia was at our house.

     Eliza: Liza, Party-in-a-Box
     Vivien: Vivi
     Evie: Evie, Evie-lou
     Helena: Helanie, Lanie
     Anya: Dollface!

What do you want to do when you grow up?
     Eliza: I want to be a film director.
     Vivien: Be a fashion designer or own a cupcake shop.
     Evie: Either write and illustrate children's books or I wan to become a musician, or become an artist.
     Helena: I want to be an artist.
     Anya: I want to do...work.  Schoolwork that I didn't finish.

The Interview with Anna Nicole Lee Kunze

     Where do your first and middle names come from?
      Nicole:  Anna is for my Great Grandma Rhoda Annie Paskett Lee, but I believe that's a happy coincidence instead of so much on purpose.  (She and I share the same birthday.)  Nicole was the name of one of Dad's French professors.

 Morning person or night owl? 
      N: Morning person.

 
What do you do for a living?

      N: Poop Wrangler.

 
What is your favorite thing to do?

       N:  Eat lunch outside in the shade (at a table) and read a book.

What is the first thing you noticed about Brian?

       N: His eyes - I couldn't hear what he was saying to me if he was looking right at me.

What is your super power?

       N: My sense of smell. Unfortunately, most of the time.

What is your favorite meal?

      N: It depends on the season, but I always look forward to turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato souffle... Thanksgivin'!

 
What is your favorite treat?

      N: Dr. Pepper. Lays deli potato chips and Ranch dip.

Who or what is your nemesis?

      N: The cats who poop in my flower beds.

 
What do you do best?

      N:  I finish what I start.

What is your most over-used word or phrase?

      N:  "You know what I mean?" "For crying out loud!"

 
Who is your favorite muppet?

      N: Cookie Monster.

 
What do you want to do or accomplish in the next 10 years?

      N:  Take a family history trip to Europe, learn to speak French the rest of the way, get a degree in genealogy (it exists!), raise great kids, write a book.  There's more, but that's enough for now. :)


The Interview with Brian Nielsen Kunze

     Where do your first and middle names come from?
      Brian:  My Mom found the name Brian in a book and liked that it means "strong" since I was such a big baby (10 lbs).  Nielsen comes from my Mom's Uncle Nielsen Clark.

  Morning person or night owl? 
      B: I used to be a night owl, but now I look forward to my 9pm bedtime.

 
What do you do for a living?

      B: Computer Software Engineer.

 
What is your favorite thing to do?

       B:  Ski, ride my bike.

       B: Her confidence.

       B: My blue eyes around older women.  And I have a great sense of direction.
