The Interview with "Grandma" Peggy Marilyn Furniss Lee:

Where do your first and middle names come from?
Grandma PeggyMy Grandma Furniss's name was Winnifred and her family would tease her by calling her "Winnepeg" which became "Peg" for short, so Peggy was kind of in her honor and the famous singer at the time,"Peggy Lee."  Marilyn was a name my Mom wanted.  She also wanted to name me Jeanne after her favorite Young Women leader, but there was a woman in my Dad's office named Jeanne and he didn't want her to think he'd named his daughter after her.

Love it. So much awesomeness, but I think my favorite is that Dad noticed that Mom looked like some other girl he liked. HA! To be fair, I married Jeff because he looks like Denzel Washington.
